Bambi blu-ray

An early announcement to retailers indicates that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will release its animated classic Bambi on Blu-ray on March 1, 2011, as part of the Diamond Collection, in a BD/DVD combo edition. This 1942 movie has had its picture and sound thoroughly restored for this release.

A similar edition with DVD packaging will also be released at the same time.

Vind die films iets te zeemzoeterig eigenlijk... The Lion King die zou ik wel graag op BR kopen. Ik dacht dat Disney die volgend jaar ging uitbrengen?

Heb wel juist een nieuwsbericht gelezen dat er een nieuwe versie van Sneeuwwitje komt. Maar dan meer het originele verhaal uit de middle ages met veel meer geweld en zelfs seks.. Dit kan nog leuk worden. Doet mij denken aan de horror versie van Sint die binnenkort uitkomt

Inderdaad, The Lion King verschijnt volgend jaar.

Maar staat er uiteraard nog niet bij. Dat is nog iets te vroeg. Voordeel van Amazon is dat je nog altijd kan cancelen als je het nadien te weten komt. Maar BR's zijn niet altijd goedkoper in de VS...

Bij Disney films wacht ik eigenlijk meestal tot wanneer weer de actie 1+1 gratis komt. Dan heb je voor rond de 20e 2 Disney films. Zo heb ik onlangs Up en Alice in Wonderland gekocht voor ongeveer die prijs.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed the Blu-ray release of Bambi, which as previously reported (see Blu-ray.com, November 5) will come out in a Diamond Edition BD/DVD pack on March 1, 2011. This will be the first Disney BD with the new "Second Screen" technology, which according to the studio "will further transform the at-home movie watching experience by empowering viewers with the ability to engage with film content on multiple media platforms and bring them to life in their own hands at the touch of a button."

By simply downloading the new Disney Second Screen App onto an internet-connected computer or iPad and synching it to the movie, consumers will instantly be able to dive deeper into the film by engaging with fun interactive elements like animated flipbooks, galleries, photos, trivia and more.
