At CES 2011 LG has unveiled their 2011 plasma line-up and we talked about their flagship PZ950 model a few days ago. LG is also introducing cheaper 3D plasma-TV ranges, including the PZ750 with THX (3D and 2D) and the PZ550 and PW350 without THX.
LG PZ750, PZ550 and PW350
LG most definitely believes in plasma and 3D. These two have been combined in three of LG’s 2011 plasma ranges. Besides the flagship PZ950, the three PZ750, PZ550 and PW350 ranges will also come with 3D in up to 60 inches.

The new TVs feature LG’s Smart TV solution, NetCast, with access to services such as Netflix, CinemaNow, VUDU, and Picasa. PZ750 even has a built-in web browser, the new LG Apps system and the cool Wii-like Magic Wand remote. In addition, a free App for iPhone and Android-based smart phones will provide an additional way to control the set, including a full QWERTY keyboard.
LG PZ550
Plasma is considered to be the best technology for 3D and LG will be bringing 3D to the masses with these new cheaper plasma TVs. 2D-to-3D conversion has been integrated and PZ750 also has a THX certification for 3D (and 2D) to ensure with accurate color reproduction. The RF emitter used for the 3D glasses has been built into the TVs so no extra equipment is required except the 3D glasses.
LG PW350
LG’s 2011 plasma TVs are also slimmer and have thinner bezels. PZ750 has a depth of less than 2 inches and a bezel measuring just 1.18 inches wide in a Borderless glass design. The other models include LG’s TruSlim Frame with a bezel of less than 1-inch.
Additionally, ISFccc calibration options allow consumers to work with a professional to set "day" and "night" levels for optimal viewing and brightness levels.
Like on LG’s previous high-end plasma-TVs, PZ950 is equipped with a Tru Black-filter in order to improve black levels and contrast, even in bright conditions. PZ950 is also one of the few TVs to have a THX 2D and THX 3D certification.
